Ferranti is an Italian company founded in 1981, specialising in the design and manufacture of dog houses, dog kennels, poultry housing and modular animal structures. For over 40 years, we have been creating functional and durable solutions, designed and manufactured in Italy, for both private customers and professional facilities.
Our origins
The history of Ferranti began in the early 1980s with the ability to create something from nothing.
Enzo Bonacci (born in 1947), driven by his passion for mechanics, accepted a challenge from a friend who bred pigeons: to find a faster and more efficient way to produce clay nests than traditional manual methods.
From this need, he designed and built a one-of-a-kind machine, capable of producing nests in an automatic and efficient way, significantly reducing time and costs. His passion for Lancia cars also played a role: the machine was operated using the steering wheel from his own car, becoming a tangible symbol of the practical ingenuity that still defines the company today.
What we do today
Today, Ferranti designs and manufactures dog kennels and houses, outdoor shelters, modular enclosures, poultry houses, aviaries and rabbit hutches, also custom-made. The structures are handcrafted using high-quality Italian materials, such as insulated panels, galvanised and painted steel sheets, galvanised steel, welded wire mesh and outdoor-grade wood treated with non-toxic products.
Who we work with
Our solutions are used by private customers, public and private kennels, animal rescue facilities, large dog breeding operations, canine training and training centres, boarding kennels for dogs and cats, as well as veterinary clinics, security companies with canine units and dog-friendly hospitality facilities.
Made in Italy and reliability
All Ferranti products are designed and manufactured entirely in Italy, with direct control over every stage of the production process. This approach ensures consistent quality, long-term reliability and the ability to deliver truly customised solutions.
Contacts and visits
Ferranti sells online in Italy and internationally and operates a company showroom, open to the public, where products can be viewed in person and purchased directly.
